Highland Reservoir Project
Highland Reservoir was constructed in 2011-12 to increase water supply and stabilize service pressure in the southwestern portion of the Colorados Pressure Zone, which includes Lafayette. This subzone serves a large area, has great demand, and had low storage volume.
The new storage tank constructed on District property in the Lafayette Reservoir Recreation Area connects to Lafayette Water Treatment Plant across Mt. Diablo Boulevard.
The project map (thumbnail to the right and larger PDF version below) shows where the new tank was constructed.
