Elections in Wards 2, 3, 4, and 7 are scheduled to be held in November 2026.
EBMUD's elections are consolidated with the General Election in Alameda and Contra Costa counties. All candidates must be a resident and registered voter in the ward from which they are nominated.
Ward 2 is in Contra Costa County and includes Lafayette, Town of Danville; portions of San Ramon, Pleasant Hill, and Walnut Creek; and communities of Alamo, Blackhawk and Diablo.
Ward 3 is in Alameda County and includes substantial portions of the City of Oakland and the entire City of Piedmont and in Contra Costa County includes the City of Orinda, Town of Moraga; community of El Sobrante; and portions of Pinole and Richmond.
Ward 4 is in Alameda County and includes the cities of Albany, Berkeley, and Emeryville; and a portion of the City of Oakland and in Contra Costa County includes the City of El Cerrito and community of Kensington.
Ward 7 is in Alameda County and includes Castro Valley; portions of San Leandro, San Lorenzo, and Hayward; communities of Cherryland and Fairview and in Contra Costa County includes a portion of San Ramon.
