Workplan and schedule
The project calls to demolish the steel roof on the 2.9 MG reservoir; install additional course of steel to raise tank height; install wind girder, aluminum dome roof, access stairs, and fall protection; abrasive blast and re-coat the interior and exterior and dispose of hazardous materials.
The project will also demolish the valve vault; construct new valve vault; install aluminum cover, mechanical piping, valves, appurtenances, buried pipe improvements, fencing, radio antennae, and other electrical improvements; replace access road retaining wall; repave access road and reservoir site.
During the completion of the reservoir, residents can expect to hear and see hauling trucks and equipment required for grading. Allowable work hours for this project are:
- Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
There are no anticipated water service interruptions associated with this project.
The Scenic Reservoir is part of a project that includes three additional reservoir upgrades which includes, Acorn Reservoir, Derby Reservoir, and Scenic East Reservoir. The active construction period for the Scenic Reservoir project will be from October 2020 to the summer of 2023. Schedule is subject to change.
