Water recycling projects under construction

EBMUD has two large multi-phased water recycling projects which supply recycled water to a growing number of customer sites.

East Bayshore Recycled Water Project

The East Bayshore Recycled Water Project serves industrial and irrigation customers in Oakland and Emeryville. EBMUD is continuing to extend recycled water pipelines into Emeryville in 2016.

EBMUD has also partnered with the City of Albany to install recycled water pipeline in Buchanan Street and Marin Avenue. Eventually the recycled water pipeline will extend to the Ohlone Greenway.

Expanding recycled water pipeline in the San Ramon Valley will occur in phases. Future phases include two pump stations and pipeline to bring recycled water from the treatment plant in Pleasanton to portions of San Ramon, Danville and Blackhawk.

The San Ramon Valley Recycled Water Program is a joint effort involving EBMUD, the Dublin San Ramon Services District and the City of Pleasanton. Federal stimulus funding and a partnership with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers have accelerated pipeline expansion.
