EBMUD offers two types of requests for water pressure and flow information to meet customer needs: General Pressure Information Requests and Fire Service Requests or Public Hydrant Flow.
General Pressure Information Requests are for inquiries such as irrigation, insurance assessments, or combined domestic and fire services (dual service), while Fire Service Requests focus on flow and pressure data for dedicated private fire services or existing public hydrants.
Confused about which request is needed for your project? Answer a couple questions below for help.
For general pressure inquiries, irrigation services, insurance assessments, or to report a water pressure issue, use the Water Pressure Information Request form or call 1-866-403-2683. You can also request information for fire sprinkler systems served by dual services (domestic and fire). These non-emergency requests will be processed within 15 business days.
For dedicated fire services or public hydrants, refer to the Fire Service Requests or Public Hydrant Flow section below.
For projects involving private fire service(s) for commercial or multi-family structures, or existing public hydrants, visit the Fire Service Flow and Pressure Request site. A fee of $369 applies to each request, which will be processed within 10 business days.
NOTE: This request is not an application for a dedicated private fire service. To apply for a private fire service, complete the Water Service Application after receiving the flow and pressure data from the Fire Service Request.
