The San Ramon Valley Recycled Water Program began providing recycled water to customers in 2006. It currently supplies recycled water to over 60 EBMUD customer sites.
Recycled water offsets drinking water that was previously used for landscape irrigation in the San Ramon Valley. This water is used at parks, greenbelts, schools, common area landscapes and golf courses. When complete, the project will serve portions of the Blackhawk, Danville, Dublin, Pleasanton and San Ramon communities.
The program is a joint effort involving EBMUD, the Dublin San Ramon Services District (DSRSD) and the City of Pleasanton. Learn more about the DERWA joint powers authority. Federal stimulus funding and a partnership with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers have accelerated pipeline extension.
